Okay, I have had a Sony computer for about two years now and since last year I never use it. And now I want to use it again. But the bad thing is that my Admin account on this computer has a password and I forgot the admin password. So I’m on the guest account. And that would be fine but I can’t download ANYTHING. I really want my old account back. So please help me as I need to know how to either delete my admin account or change the password.
As to my experience, the most efficient way is to use a password reset disk to reset the lost Windows password. There are 2 methods for you to create one.
Method 1:
Step 1. Click Start button, Control Panel, User Account and Family Safety, User Account orderly.
Step 2: Click Create a password reset disk and the wizard will come up.
Step 3: Follow the wizard to create the password reset disk.
This method is to help you in case of lost Windows password. It is only available when you can log on with the account. Many users don’t remember to create one before forgetting the password. Obviously, this user is a member of those users. So this method will not work. But don’t be impressed, chances to reset your password still exist. Please go to method 2.
Method 2:
